One of the oldest crafts known and still practised in the Balearic archipelago is that known as "marger". This involves the hand crafted treatment of stone which is used to make adjoining and exterior walls, facades, columns, etc.. Determination and persistence combined with repeated hammering gives the stone a unique finish. A traditional method passed down from father to son. This property is a fine example of such craftsmanship.
Set on a plot of just over 4.000 m², it is located in the area between Alcudia, Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa, in the countryside but only a short driving distance of about 3.5 km from the beach, the sea just a kilometre away as the crow flies.
A splendid rustic home, the natural stone walls being the predominant feature; beamed ceilings with exposed terracotta panelling, a combination of terracotta and pebble-stone flooring, thick solid walls, treated wooden lintels and all the tranquillity that rural Pollensa has to offer. For outdoor enjoyment, the property has a swimming pool with stone paved terraces, soft grassed gardens, a covered terrace area, summer kitchen with wood oven and barbecue, orchard etc.
The house comprises four bedrooms and four bathrooms; spacious kitchen with made to measure fixtures, eating area; living room with fireplace and dining area. Although the property is rustic in many ways, it has an air-conditioning system.
Again, rustic style, but the rooms have plenty of natural light, all of them designed to make this home very welcoming. Ideal as a permanent home or as a holiday rental investment.
