Garachico is located on the TF42 Road about 60 km West of the capital Santa Cruz, 50 km from Tenerife North Airport and 67 km from Tenerife South Airport. The town itself nestles below a 500m+ cliff. It has a strong historical and still very Canarian character. The village, with its cobbled streets, a central square, beautifully restored churches, a monastery, an old fort and plenty of restaurants, has a wonderful atmosphere. It offers natural rock pools, as well as a municipal swimming pool, right at the sea front. The new marina, inaugurated in May 2012, is an important asset for the village. Garachico has always taken care of its environment and protected the most diverse cultural manifestations.
