Cala de la Barraca o Cala del Portitxol
Cala de la Barraca or Portitxol Cala is one of the most beautiful bays of Javea with a peculiar charm. It is characterized by small fishermen's houses to which they were called "barracks" and give this beach one more twist. The "barracks" belong to individual persons and during the summer they used to go and spend a fun day with friends or family. Many of them even spend the night there, a nice experience in which to enjoy the tranquility by the sea breeze.
Right across from the cove Illa see Portitxol (Portichol Island) that according to the remains found there apparently was inhabited. It has been found burials and important archaeological remains from Roman times. It is very nice to do a kayak tour around the island or around some of the cliffs that are in the vicinity of Cala de la Barraca. Another thing that can be done from the la Cala Barraca is a nice walking path to the Creu del Portitxol. Have you been in Javea and does not know the Cala Portitxol? Feelfree to visit it on your next stay.
Cala Blanca o La Caleta
Finally we finish with a small cove, Cala Blanca or La Caleta. The white stone around the cove highlights this cove, La Caleta. Walking the path of the cove goes to another much smaller, is called the second Caleta. Both beaches are very dear and special for the neighbors of Jávea. It is a gated beach that makes its waters very calm. It is avery familiar, perfect to spend a day with children on the beach.
Small coves give it a special charm to Cala Blanca which is named for the whitish color of the rocks of the cliffs. She is accessed through a small promenade, also perfect to go for a walk and enjoy the sights and peculiarities of the cove.
