A New fashion street in Madrid: Goodbye Ponzano?

For years, Ponzano Street has been one of the most interesting and busy areas of Madrid. In fact, many came to visit thinking that this street was immersed in an endless fashion. However, everything seems to indicate that competition has emerged. And, recently, there is a new fashion street in the capital. It is, of course, Gabriel Lobo, in the neighbourhood of El Viso.

Gabriel Lobo Street is not new. In fact, it has been one of the most interesting streets in the elitist neighbourhood of El Viso. Plagued by artisan businesses, art galleries, small bars, restaurants and shops, this busy Madrid street attracts more and more attention from both residents and visitors.

Proof that this trend change is happening can be found in Fitzburger, one of the most prestigious hamburger chains in the world. It has chosen Gabriel Lobo to open a new branch within Madrid. This comes to show that Ponzano is no longer the gastronomic street of the capital par excellence.

The same thing happens with Bienmesabe, the name of one of the most prestigious Andalusian taverns in Madrid that has chosen this trendy street to open a new establishment in which to enjoy spiced tomatoes, gazpacho and many other delicacies from the south. It has everything that Madrid's cuisine variety has to offer.

But the evidence does not end there. The designer, Sally Hambleton, has also opted for Gabriel Lobo to open a boutique in the heart of the capital. This is called 'Xmas Shop' and as is tradition in the creations of this artist, this shop offers flowers. Everything you can imagine with this type of decorative element will be found here.

For its part, Gabriel Lobo is also the street in which entrepreneurs are betting on innovation and originality, as demonstrated by Mosca Gallery. This establishment has the uniqueness of being able to be catalogued as both an art gallery and a furniture store. So much so that it has a reserved space for anyone who wishes to display their creations and sell them. Just rent a corner to be able to do business without any intermediaries.

All this is translating into a greater demand for rentals and purchase of flats in Gabriel Lobo and the surrounding area, which is also bringing a rise in prices. Right now, the most avant-garde and cosmopolitan people want to reside near this street that, soon, will become emblematic.
