The consumption of energy is at historical highs, which translates into really high bills. However, despite the fact that heating and air conditioning units are used more due to the extreme temperatures in many cities, it is still necessary to carry out a series of measures that save energy. Here we will mention the most important ones.
The first step to saving energy in the home is to ensure adequate insulation is used. In many cases, it is sufficient to seal and repair the window joint cracks, although in some cases deeper measures such as changing the enclosures may be advisable. It is estimated that this factor can lead to an energy saving of approximately 200 euros per year.
On the other hand, equipping the air conditioners with thermostats that allow to maintain the temperature is also a very wise decision. In fact, many air conditioners already have the 'Inverter' technology, which stops when they reach a comfortable temperature and resume operation when necessary. This can mean a saving of between 10 and 12 per cent a year, ie about 60 euros.
