During this summer, the beautiful Palacio de Cibeles is holding a film festival called “Sunset Cinema” until Sep 3rd. Visitors will get the opportunity to view a different classic movie every day of the week under the amazing glass roof. There is also a courtyard, where the attendees can enjoy the cool evenings of Madrid. A movie is shown everu Monday through to Sunday from 10pm until 8th September, with double sessions on weekends (Midnight movies).
La Casa Encendida de Embajadores or the Burning House is a cultural centre that hosts art exhibits and concerts throughout the year. It also offers movie screenings on its amazing rooftop terrace at 10pm until 28th August. This year's theme is "La terraza magnética" featuring astronomy and witchcraft, with additional concerts on Sundays. The terrace also has a bar.
Until September 18th, the Conde Duque's Cinema Garden will be installed with a capacity to seat 800 people. You can watch a different movie every day at this outdoor cinema. This year, Conde Duque is taking the party to another level by offering many themes such as food stalls, concerts, a market, and picnic tables.
In addition to the above summer cinemas, within Veranos de la Villa, several districts of Madrid will have their own summer cinemas during August weekends. This is the case of Parque del Calero in Ciudad Lineal, which organises its 20th film festival. The following are the other areas with summer cinemas: Manzanares Lineal Park (Usera), Parque Emperatriz María de Austria (Carabanchel), Park Berlin (Chamartin), Parque de la Cuña Verde (Moratalaz), Parque del Paraíso (San Blas), Auditorio Villa de Vallecas the Municipal Auditorium El Espinillo (Villaverde).
