„Classic & Local“ – is the Engel & Völkers slogan as Sponsor of the renowned Regatta Illes Baleares Classics
Further to the successful sponsorship of the Classic Car Rally in Puerto Portals this spring, Engel & Völkers continues to focus its support of a classic local event in Mallorca:
The XXV. Regatta Illes Baleares Classics will be held from 14 th - 17th of August
– and Engel & Völkers will be there!
This famous sailing regatta organised by the
Club de Mar-Mallorca, is currently considered to be one of the most prestigious classic regattas in the Mediterranean. Approximately 50 sailing yachts will gather from across Europe to compete in a spectacular race over the course of three days. Participants are divided into seven categories under specific criteria such as the vessels’ year of construction or a vessels‘ rigging.

This year the starting line will feature, among others: the sailing yacht of D. Juan de Borbón, grandfather of King Felipe VI., named “Giraldilla” (1963), as well as the vessel named “Argos” (1964), which was the overall winner of the last regatta.
A varied programme includes an Open-Door Day – the chance to take a closer look at these classic and vintage sailing yachts; a fascinating conference entitled "Sailing tradition in Mallorca" and an exhibition of paintings by the artist, Anna Boulton.
