The new edition of GG Magazine marks a very special moment: The company Engel & Völkers is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. Not only was Engel & Völkers founder, Christian Völkers, invited to an in-depth interview, but an entire issue was devoted to the "Made in Germany" seal. Because there was perhaps no other time in which the world held German brands in such high regard and the German economy was doing so well. According to the ranking agency BrandZ, the 50 most valuable German brands are worth about 300 billion dollars in total - this is a whopping 60 to 70 billion dollars more than the 50 most valuable British or French brands. Ranking in first place is the software company SAP. What makes brands such as Miele, Mercedes-Benz or Audi so strong apart from the quality and, of course, the sales figures, is the emotional bond.
