The charming town of San Pedro de Alcántara located on the west of Marbella and being part of it, is delimited by the Guadalmina river bordering Estepona and Benahavís. San Pedro de Alcántara is an urban center, whose inhabitants coexist in an essence of typical Andalusian town and the cosmopolitan Marbella city. It is characterized by being very well connected with the main roads on the Costa del Sol, along with an important variety of cultural heritage. Historically, we find several vestiges to evoke past times, such as:
- the Early Christian Cathedral, which is one of the oldest examples of a Christian church in the Iberian Peninsula
- the famous ruins of a Roman Villa whose construction dating from the end of the first century used as an old rustic estate
- also in the area are established the Baths of the Vault of San Pedro also since the Roman time in which besides being the first spa of the Costa del Sol, they were considered a point of social gathering.
