Welcome to Minorca in February! At this time of year, we invite you to discover the magic of Menorca’s countryside and its coastline. It is the perfect time to hike or to cycle, to discover the natural wonders, the caves, the ravines and the unforgettable ‘Cami de Cavalls’, which is the coastal path around the entire island.
The president of Menorca’s council, Susana Mora, will present a tourism development plan for the island with an emphasis on promoting sport in nature. The aim is to plan and manage tourism for the long-term and to achieve responsible tourism for the territory, the local economy and for social well-being.
The Starlight Foundation will provide the Minorcan delegation with the seal that certifies the island as a tourist destination for astronomical observation, which in turn endorses the excellent quality of the sky of Menorca and places it in the privileged network of optimal tourist destinations to practice astronomy.
The Fomento de Turismo de Menorca (FFTM) has promoted the island at the tourism fair in Madrid FITUR as an ideal destination for practising sport in nature and for astronomical observation (with the "Starlight" seal).
