Torrevieja is a coastal town south of the province of Alicante, within the region of the Vega Baja. It is located in an area of high landscape and ecological value along the Mediterranean and along the Lagunas de La Mata and Torrevieja, one of the most important wetlands in Valencia and one of the most important salt farms in Europe. The salt city has a Mediterranean climate strongly influenced by the proximity to the sea, causing a very mild average annual temperature and a lot of hours of sunshine per year, making Torrevieja an idyllic place to live and enjoy the Mediterranean.
