Muro is located inland in the agricultural region called 'Plà de Mallorca' (plain of Majorca). The traditional, rural municipality of Muro also includes the beach resort of Playa de Muro. The picturesque village with its sandstone buildings and the old church provides a typical example of traditional Mallorca.

Close by are the rural towns of Llubi, Santa Margalida, Sa Pobla and Buger. The coastal resort of Can Picafort and the quieter beach town of Son Serra del Marina can also be reached quickly. The nearest big town is Inca, famous for making leather goods. The capital Palma and the airport can be reached in about 40 minutes. It is the ideal starting point to discover the versatility of the entire island.
