La Drova is a population entity of the municipal district of Barx, in the Safor region, which is situated in the Drova valley, between the Mondúver massif and the Buixcarró mountain range. Originally, the Drova was a hamlet located next to a pastoral path, where the herds stopped to drink. By 1300, the whole valley was given to the monks of the monastery of Santa Maria de la Valldigna and used as a sanitation place for the invalids, since it was considered that the air and water of the place were very pure. The present Drova is a set of urbanizations built in the late twentieth century around the path mentioned above. La Drova is located about 13km west of Gandía and the connecting roads are very good. In less than 15 minutes, the journey takes place. The city of Gandía is in the heart of the region of La Safor, in the Region of Valencia. Gandía has a privileged location between the sea and the mountains. In its environment is breathed a rich historical heritage that permeates its monuments and the spirit of its people. In addition, Gandía has unbeatable connections both by road and by train that takes you to the center of Valencia every day and practically every 30 min.
