The buildings on Calle Pintor Fortuny are by renowned architects from the late 19th century, such as the one that houses the El Colectivo café or the cosmetics company Byphasse, on the corner with Notariat, both by the architect Joan Frexe i Vilardaga and also the author of the estate where the bar La Cabaña is located, on the corner with Calle dels Angels. Salvador Viñals Sabaté designed the estate that houses the Caravelle bar and the one next to it, whose lintel bears the date 1879. Even Magí Rius Mulet, one of Cerdà's great collaborators in the Eixample, built two blocks of flats in this area where the Plaza winery and the L'antic Forn restaurant are located. The Ramón Mumbrú House, designed by the famous Valencian architect Rafael Guastavino and known for its constructions in the United States, such as the Boston Public Library or the Grand Central Terminal Station in New York, also stands out in this section.
