It has a population of 18,450 and 47.2 km2. Limits with the municipalities of Majadahonda, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Alcorcon, Villaviciosa de Odon and Villanueva de la cañada.
This municipality experienced a strong increase in population in the mid-seventies with the establishment of large numbers of single-family residences. It is surrounded by well kown estates like Monteprincipe, Olivar de Mirabal, Parque Boadilla, Bonanza and Las Lomas, known as historic urbanizations.
Valdecabañas presents an unbeatable situation, with good access to the M-50 and the urban center of Boadilla and all health, educational, and shopping facilities that a family could need.
