Sarria: Location and surroundings of this property

Sarrià was an independent town of Barcelona City Council until 1921, when it was added to the municipality of Barcelona. Since then, it is one of the neighbourhoods that make up the district of Sarris-San Gervasi. The first written data that are preserved of the villa are from the 10th century. Initially, the village was an area dedicated to the agricultural sector, especially wine, but later attracted affluent families.
Today's Sarrià combines the corners where you can easily remember the old rural village, especially in the surroundings of Major de Sarrià Street, with modern areas and large communications routes. It is worth noting the services and especially the schools, the civic centres, the sports infrastructures, the market, the Plaça de Sarrià, the strength of the neighbourhood trade, the large pedestrian area and the typical architecture of the time.
