Bonanova: Location and surroundings of this property

The territory is structured around several roads, such as Passeig de la Bonanova, which crosses the Llobregat district to Besós, and streets such as Sant Gervasi de Cassoles, Muntaner or Mandri, which go from sea to mountain. Sant Gervasi-La Bonanova is a basically residential neighborhood, full of elegant farms and restaurants, which are the current reflection of its history. The old municipality was a sparsely populated territory with no industry or major companies. This fact and the proximity to the Mountain of Collserola facilitated that during the 19th century it was filled with second residences of the wealthy society of Barcelona.

In addition to the stately buildings and the small green areas, the neighborhood is characterized by the large number of schools. It is common to find boys and girls playing in the squares and getting off the buses on any given afternoon, and in the center there are centers such as the Pia de Sarrià School, the Jesús-Maria School and La Salle Bonanova (a neo-gothic building), in addition to the universities Abat Oliva and Ramon Llull.
