On Cirilo Amoros St, and next of the Mercado de Colón, is this landmark building, designed by the architect Carlos Carbonell as a result of a commission for the General Exhibition of Valencia in 1909. It is a wonderful example of Modernism early last century. The facade uses stylistic references of Art Nouveau and the Viennese Secession and introduces a new element: a curved central top superior.
