Plentzia is a pleasant town in the province of Vizcaya which has all amenities. It is located 25 kilometers north of the capital, Bilbao, on the coast, in the northwest of the province. The village of Plentzia is located on the right bank of the final meander of the river, just before it flows into the Bay of Plentzia. The center comprises three quite distinct nuclei: the historic or original núclleo villa, Txipios and Ensanche, preferentially located, where recent constructions result of growing urban development of the town. The narrow streets of Old Plentzia still retain the charm of the historic sites, where ancient marine houses and mansions mingle with the church.
