Boadilla del Monte is a neighbourhood of the Community of Madrid, located to the west of the capital located 15 kilometres from Madrid centre. It has a population of 18,450 and encompasses a total area of 47.2 square kilometres.
Limits with the municipalities of Majadahonda, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Alcorcón, Villaviciosa de Odón y Villanueva de la Cañada. It belongs entirely to the Guadarrama River basin.
This municipality has experienced a strong population increase in the mind-seventies with the establishment in residential areas of a large number of single-family residences. In the coming years it is expected a new increasing as a result of the liberalization of large areas of land that already are urbanizing.
