El Molar is a town in the province of Madrid, 39 km north from the city of Madrid and 833 meters over the see level. It is considered to be the door as well as the first town of the Sierra Norte. The county house is located in the surrounding area of the town just beside the Barranco de Valdehondiguillos. El Molar boasts all kind of services such as schools, church, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. and is only 15 minutes away from the big shopping centre Plaza Norte 2 and the Infanta Sofia Hospital.
