Llanera: Location and surroundings of this property

Las Regueras is a municipality in the autonomous community of Asturias, Spain. It is bordered by Illas and Llanera to the north, Grado to the south, Candamo to the west, and Oviedo and Llanera again to the east. It is located just a few kilometers from the Cantabrian Sea and the Asturian coast. The municipality derives its name from the abundance of streams and small watercourses that traverse the area. It covers a total area of 65.80 km² and has a population of 1,874 inhabitants. The localities of Escamplero and Satullano (the municipal capital) have the largest concentration of residents, while Biedes is one of the six parishes that make up the municipality, situated at an altitude of 235 meters near the AS-233 road. Las Regueras preserves good examples of traditional architecture, such as granaries decorated in the "Carreño" style, as well as a church dedicated to San Martín. Notable attractions in the municipality include the Church of San Pedro de Nora, a medieval construction in pre-Romanesque style; the parish church of Valsera, a Romanesque building dating from the 13th and 14th centuries; the Palacio de Viado, an example of local civil architecture located in Santullano; and the landscape of the Bolgues Recreational Area in Valduno. The AS-372 road, which crosses the municipality from east to west, is its main communication route. Other important roads include the AS-371, coming from Oviedo, and the AS-233, which connects to Avilés. The area also benefits from a railway line running from Oviedo to San Pedro de Nora. Las Regueras is located 24 minutes (20 km) by car from Oviedo, 35 minutes (35 km) from Gijón, 36 minutes from Avilés (20 km), and 16 minutes (11 km) from Trubia.
