It is one of the most emblematic buildings in the Ensanche in San Sebastian. Realized by the arquitect Cortazar, and signed by him. From 2010 to 2016 has been taken an integral refurbishment of the facades, facing the Avenida de Libertad, and the ones facing to the interior patio, as well as the cover, and the entrance of the building and the elevator that starts from the 0 floor has been also renovated.

The pavements are all made of wooden platform except in the corridors and toilets and the lobby where are made of marble. The interior carpentry is made of painted wood.

It was constructed in 1917, and was reformed entirely on 1996 maintaining the original materials and characteristics of this significant edification in the center of San Sebastian.
