Like Sarriá and Sant Gervasi, the neighbourhood of La Bonanova has its origin in the late eighteenth century as a summer resort for wealthy families in Barcelona. Although it would not be radically different from the development of the other two neighbourhood’s, the district of La Bonanova had its own trajectory marked by private urbanization initiatives and the construction of villas for the Barcelona bourgeoisie.
In 1890, the Paseo de la Bonanova was urbanized and along its route began to rise luxurious stately estates that have since permeated this neighbourhood with the essence of the exclusive.
