La Vall de Ternelles is a little valley, situated at the bottom of the beautiful Tramutana mountains and located in the southwest of Pollensa. Due to its variety of flora and fauna this valley is especially loved and honored by hikers and nature lovers. Particularly the protected species, such as Raisakotkas, can be observed. La Vall de Ternelles is surrounded by a river of the same name, which offers a breathtakingly view over the beautiful landscape and the antique ruins and the castle Castell del Rei. It is said that this part of the island has the most beautiful and unparalleled properties of the north of Mallorca: Old watermills, which are reformed into comfortable houses, which are well maintained over the years and kept the mallorquin flair. The little village is surrounded by wonderful mountains and fruit gardens, where farmers grow vegetables and fruits even today for the Sunday markets.
