Prado de Somosaguas is located in the municipality of Pozuelo de Alarcón, in the centre of the Community of Madrid, 14 kilometres from the Puerta del Sol and next to the Casa de Campo, which is the second most extensive forestland in the region after El Pardo.
Although Prado de Somosaguas is a well-established residential complex, it is currently experiencing growth, like the rest of Pozuelo, due to the development of new land and the construction of dozens of homes. Pozuelo de Alarcón has the highest average income in Spain. It is considered the area of Madrid with the greatest number of Spanish noble families, political figures and celebrities because it offers privacy and a peaceful atmosphere.
It is home to the Somosaguas campus of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), the Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) building in Prado del Rey and the Somosaguas golf course. It is also within close proximity of the modern and cosmopolitan La Finca Business Park, where several major companies are based, including Microsoft, Orange and Accenture.
