In this incredible neighborhood Antoni Gaudí, the most famous architect in Spain and without a doubt the greatest exponent of Catalan modernism, carried out a project, which may be one of his least known works but is especially interesting from the point of view of the person who had to live there.

It is the house he designed for the painter Aleix Clapés, built between 1899 and 1900.
Over the years, the Casa Clapés has had many uses until it has become several registry units and the home of more than 20 families, without losing its essence, a symbol of the architecture of its time and the spirit of the great architect who conceived it.
