Lluís Plandiura (1882-1956), sugar industrialist and renowned art collector, was the owner of this marvellous Noucentista house in the brunelleschi style, typical of the early Noucentista period. The Plandiura house is the result of various alterations and extensions. It is possible that, due to its location in Carrer Centre and the old royal, before the works of 1885, there was already an earlier house and Tomàs Nualart reformed it. In 1928, Duran i Reynals, reformed it, but maintained the openings, only changing the side of the entrance door and giving it a noucentista look. Mr. Luís Plandiura managed to gather more than 1,869 pieces, including Romanesque, Gothic and contemporary artists' works in an initial collection, which he later sold to the Generalitat de Catalunya and the City Council of the same city and which would later become part of the Art Museum of Catalonia. He had great repercussions in the Catalan political sphere. Today its splendour remains intact in the central square of the village of La Garriga. Its spectacular entrance shows us a natural wooden staircase, which leads us to the different floors of the house, ground floor, underground, mezzanine, first floor, first floor, third floor and roof with magnificent views of the village and its mountains.
