Lloret de Mar: Location and surroundings of this plot

Lloret de Mar is a Spanish municipality in the region of the Selva, in the province of Girona, in the Costa Brava. It is endowed with excellent beaches of grainy sand. It also Lloret de Mar has magnificent views of the castle at one end and the monument to "The Dona Marinera" which represents the suffering of women waiting for the return of their husbands' fishermen on the other side.

Mediterranean coastal climate, with always much softer temperatures due to the moderating thermal effect of the sea. Even so, it must be taken into account that the Mediterranean is a warm sea all year round so that the smoothing effect of the temperatures that characterize it is more evident in winter than in summer. The summer drought of this climate usually lasts three months and the maximum precipitations are concentrated in autumn.

The present nucleus of the population was formed in the s. XV around the beach. The nautical port of Canyellas is the only sports port of Lloret de Mar, located on the beach of Canyellas, where you can moor medium sized boats.

The nearest airports are Girona - Costa Brava, 30 Km away. And the Barcelona airport to 75 Km. Girona airport connects Lloret de Mar with a large number of European cities and also has significant charter flights. Barcelona airport is connected to regular flights to the main cities of the world.

In Lloret de Mar we find a golf course and one of the most famous water parks in the area.
