Teixonera: Location and surroundings of this property

La Teixonera is a neighborhood perched on the hill of La Creueta del Coll, which over time has evolved from a small summer colony and with more modest houses, in the lands of Joaquim Taxonera, to the total urbanization of that slope of the hill in the postwar and the sixties.

The Teixonera district, located between the Vall d'Hebron, La Clota, El Carmel and El Coll districts (Gràcia district), was formed in the period 1915-1930 and was then known as Colònia Taxonera. It was developed by Joaquim Taxonera, the owner of those lands. The houses that were initially built there were turrets of floor or floor and floor, with garden.

Carrer d’Arenys is the main artery of the neighborhood, since its beginnings as a summer colony. An aqueduct with a water mine used to pass through the intersection of Arenys, Pluto and Santa Gemma streets, and until the 1960s, residents went there to look for water.
