Palace House with history in Torreperogil, 6 km away from Úbeda. It was the original residence of D. Pero Gil de Zático, vassal and knight of King Fernando III of Castile, and later owned by the counts of Santa Ana. A perfectly preserved exterior appearance, with unique architecture and large stone walls. It has been kept in use throughout different generations of noble families.
It has more than 20 rooms and several buildings on its very large plot. The main building has a square shape and two heights, with splendid galleries facing the internal courtyard of the house. Within the same building, the ground floor houses the house of the caretakers, summer dining room and several other rooms.
The upper section, which is accessed by a perfectly preserved marble staircase, was used for bedrooms and main rooms, such as the winter dining room, library, office and lounges. Another exterior building of 600 m2 had an original use as a warehouse, which now supports another purpose. Rustic garden with pool.

This magnificent Andalusian palace house is located in the centre of Torreperojil, a Spanish municipality in the province of Jaén, Andalusia, in the heart of the region, flooded with century-old olive groves, with the Guadalquivir valley to the south.
Its name comes from the lord of the tower around which the village was built: Pero XII de Zático, distinguished knight in the conquest of Úbeda under the orders of Fernando III in 1231.
The "green gold" is the undisputed protagonist of the cuisine of Jaén that grants the gastronomy of the area an spectacle of authentic flavours. The green olive grove has been present in the cuisine of these lands from the ancient Rome.
A few kilometres away, Úbeda is a monumental city that keeps among its streets the golden spectacle of the Renaissance. Together with its neighbour Baeza, it has been part of the illustrious list of World Heritage Sites since 2003.
Full of palaces, manor houses, churches, such as San Pablo, bullring, one of the oldest in Spain, synagogue, witness of the presence of the Jewish community and multiple architectural witnesses of other times, in a continuous encounter with corners full of history.
Birthplace and inspiration of important writers. San Juan de la Cruz, Antonio Machado and Antonio Muñoz Molina have made this city the protagonists of their work.
