Sol: Location and surroundings of this property

In the center of Madrid you will find Sol neighbourhood. Full of monuments, shops and bars. Some of the neighbourhood´s main attractions are the enormous Plaza de la Puerta del Sol and the equally impressive Plaza Mayor. The streets leading off Puerta del Sol offer great shopping options, especially for souvenirs and Spanish clothing brands. This area is also split by stunning Gran Vía street where the numerous theatres that line the large street are reminiscent of Brodway in New York city. Food options are plenty because the area is full of restaurants, bars and pubs.
Palacio neighbourhood is adjacent to Sol and offers some of the best city attractions, including the Royal Palace, the beautiful Palace outdoor Jardines de Sabatini and Catedral de la Almudena .
Friendly Huertas neighbourhood, also known as Barrio de las Letras (literary neighbourhood), is adjacent to Sol too and it is famous for once being home of literary icons such as Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega. Huertas is one of the most popular places to go out at night for a drink and a tapa with friends.
