The town of Dénia is located on the north coast of the province of Alicante, just 100 km from the international airports of Valencia and Alicante. From the port of Dénia we find the islands of Mallorca and Ibiza, 51 nautical miles away.
The Montgó occupies a large part of the southern half, with the Cape of San Antonio stretching out at its feet. Along almost 20 kilometres of open sea front to the north and northeast, there is a succession of low, sandy coasts and the jagged, cliffy coasts of Las Rotas, until reaching the Cova Tallada, where Dénia ends and Jávea begins. Due to the great gastronomic variety and especially the typical autochthonous dishes, Dénia has recently been named by UNESCO, creative city of gastronomy.
