El Camp de l'Arpa del Clot: Location and surroundings of this property

Located on the edge of the district of Sant Martí with Eixample, at the confluence of the neighbourhoods of Camp de l'Arpa with the Clot and the Sagrada Familia. Excellently connected to the rest of the city by both main arteries for vehicle use and by public train and metro transport.
The Clot district maintained a rural character until the nineteenth century. That's when the first flour mills were installed, followed by textile industries, tanneries, wearies, etc. By the end of the nineteenth century, the neighbourhood had become an industrial and labour settlement, with a significant increase in population, most from the rest of Catalonia and Aragon.
On the other hand, the northern part of the territory to which the core of the Clot stretched was known as the mountain quarter and comprised the present Camp de l'Arpa and the Guinardó. It maintained its agricultural weight until the mid-19th century when it began to urbanize.

Gradually the neighbourhood has lost its industrial character, as it moved or disappeared old factories and workshops. That has made it possible to recover some large spaces for citizen use.
Other industrial spaces keep the memory of the history of the neighbourhood, such as the building where the house we offer them is located.
Currently we are in front of a very consolidated neighbourhood, with a rich urban fabric that offers multiple commercial offer and basic services to enjoy a comfortable life and in easy and direct connection with both the rest of the city and its exteriors.
