The landscape of Cunit is described by its natural contrasts: two privileged areas of beach and mountains which represent a permanent invitation to rest, to enjoy the sun and the still and warm waters, and outings on foot or by bike.
Its long Seafront of 2,7km is ideal for riding a bicycle, skating or walking, while enjoying a magnificent picture postcard of the Mediterranean. The coastline of Cunit, with its seven characteristic breakwaters breaks into cosy half-moons of fine sand and calm, shallow waters, ideal for all types of public. These breakwaters reduce the waves that reach the beach and protect them from the storms.
Of great quality, both in terms of its condition and preservation as well as the services it provides to its visitors, the town beach is awarded the Blue Flag distinction each year.
Apart from the coastal plains, Cunit invites its visitors to discover its forests, located by the last buttress of the Coastal Mountain Range. Many places in the mountains of Cunit are transformed into great balconies over-looking the sea and provide very attractive views.
Much recommended is the practice of hiking entering the lush forests of great beauty and discovering landscapes such as the Sierra del Puig de Tiula, an authentic town lung and refuge of the typical Mediterranean forest in excellent state of preservation. Some of its stretches are of great beauty and one can listen to the sound of silence and tranquillity very close to the hustle and bustle of the coast.
In short, Cunit is an ideal place for everyone who flees the noise and the crowds of some of the locations on the Catalan coastline. An extremely quiet and cosy locality, keen to show the visitor the physiognomy so characteristic of its beaches, as well as the great natural beauty and value of its mountain and forest areas.
