There are three factors that are reversing the traditional operating system in the real estate sector: automation or gamification tools, big data and artificial intelligence. It is the PropTech that manages to respond to this new trend and those that are reinforcing it. But, what does this new trend really consist of? We will discover it in the following lines.
This is the new way of visiting properties
PropTech or Property Technology refers to the application of disruptive technologies in the real estate sector. That is, the use of innovative techniques to modify the activity among the differente agents (buyers, sellers, real estate agents, builders, etc.) that take part in the construction or purchase of a home. There are also, to an increasing extent, marketing tools based on creating experiences that can add value to the user, combining 3D technology and video game engines. In particular, it allows the user to interact with a property, leaving aside the traditional static image in 2D, to be able to enter and look over it in a simple way.
And how does it work?
After modelling the property based on 3D scanners or photos and plans, an identical copy of the property is reproduces virtually. The virtual experiences are collected in an app or platform suitable for any device (smartphones, tablets, computers, virtual reality glasses...) and optimized with a video game engine. This allows you to live the experience of moving around and interacting with the property with freedom at any time and at any place. In addition, there is also an option to change something if you do not like it, such as the colour of the walls or the lighting.
This technology offers several advantages, both for the seller and buyer as well as for the real estate agency. On the one hand, it saves time in visits and makes it easier to virtually visit the property if the buyer is abroad. In addition, the option of personalizing some aspects of the house is a positive point to be able to realistically visualize how the property would look. On the other hand, in addition to offering this curious experience to the users, it allows to register data of these, of the houses, etc. thus enabling the use of big data and artificial intelligence to identify business opportunities for real estate agencies in a more interactive way.
The constant renewal and reinvention of the real estate sector and new trends means that technologies such as these are increasingly used in the Spanish market. It brings many opportunities to the sector, reinforcing the user's motivation and at the same time enhancing their interest. for this reason, real estate companies are starting to increasingly focus on this new business model. Would you make use of this technology?
