Rúa de San Pedro is a long and busy street with a good number of restaurants, cafés and bars situated left and right. Unlike many of the streets in Casco Histórico, Rúa de San Pedro features a wider cobblestone road made and spacious sidewalks—at the end of which are big potted plants and benches. Buildings here are also slightly different, with most being uniformly painted white (versus the traditional stone), yet still showcasing the old-fashioned Spanish Colonial architecture prevalent throughout Casco Histórico. The area is ideal for couples, expat couples and small families, as it offers a convenient and leisurely lifestyle in the city’s picturesque old town setting.
