Chelsea - The Place to Be!

If you are an art or architecture-oriented person, Chelsea is the place to be for you!
It has a long and heavy historical background that makes it one of the most interesting districts of London. You may, for example, find Blue Plaques on Building on the streets of Chelsea. These plaques are a landmark to let you know that noted artist or writer lived there at some time or other.

Chelsea is also rich in historic parks, gardens and open spaces.

Otherwise, in walking in Chelsea, you also can enjoy a unique and wonderful residential architecture, from the incredible Victorian house to the historic Royal Hospital of Chelsea.

You can find lots of properties in Chelsea which are able to tell you a story.

For example, the Crosby Hall (Cheyne Walk) which has been threatened with demolition in 2006, was built back in the time of Richard III, its first owner. Furthermore, it survived the Great Fire of London, and it has been shipped brick by brick from Bishopsgate in 1910!

In addition, the well-known Royal Hospital designed by Sir Christopher Wren is one of the architectural centerpieces of Chelsea.
Whilst the buildings were under construction, they realised that space would be insufficient, and Wren added a further quadrangle to his design: Now called Light Horse.
The Royal Hospital of Chelsea is divided into six main parts, each one having special and historical features: Figure Court (the oldest one), The Octagon (that supports the Royal Hospital of Chelsea's cupola and lantern), The Great Hall (The biggest dining room you have ever seen), The Long Wards (Chelsea pensioners’ living quarters), The State Apartments (The royal part of the hospital), and finally the Light Horse Court (mainly quarters for officers).

Ultimately, Chelsea’s famous architecture does not only rest upon its historical background but also on simple criteria: Beauty and harmony. Bywater street is the perfect example of Chelsea’s street with its original colors and architecture. When it comes to eye-catching facades, the colorful Georgian townhouses in this district are hard to beat, making this one of the most photographed terraces in London.

As you can see, Chelsea has a lot to offer given its location, architecture, originality, or even its calm environment. Therefore, why not buying a house, or a flat here and join us in one of the most interesting areas of London?
