They made it! 11 consultants from commercial offices based throughout Germany proudly accepted their certificates for the “General Real Estate Management” (GREM) qualification on 28 March. Having successfully completed the course, the participants can now call themselves “Immobilienberater IHK”. This was the second year of GREM graduates.11 consultants from commercial offices based throughout Germany proudly accepted their certificates for the “General Real Estate Management” (GREM) qualification on 28 March
The E&V Academy initiated the training program “General Real Estate Manager” together with the “Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Hannover” (Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Hanover). “Sales advisors at Engel & Völkers must have broad knowledge of matters relating to the property industry and property law, and build on and consolidate this knowledge on an ongoing basis. The GREM course gives participants the right set of tools to manage the tough demands of the job,” reports Michael Defland, Global Head of Academy. “Such a comprehensive program that culminates in an officially recognised qualification is unique in the property industry and underlines the high quality standard of our services. The offer is aimed at sales advisors and consultants from the Residential and Commercial business divisions,” Mr. Defland continued.
After 186 teaching hours in a total of six blocks, the advisors sat a three-hour written exam and a 15-minute oral exam in which they displayed the knowledge they had acquired in areas such as legal matters in the property industry, project management, property valuation and financing. “I was very impressed by the motivation of the participants and am sure that they will go on to even greater successes with the expertise they have acquired,” said lecturer Markus Tami who led the course. Mr. Tami had a few personal words for each participant at the certificate-giving ceremony, together with all the best wishes for the future.
“I am very pleased about the positive feedback from our advisors. Many of them have already asked in the academy about a follow-up course or the possibility of acquiring a qualification as a real estate specialist (Immobilienfachwirt) via E&V. We are currently reviewing the options for implementation. The next six-month GREM course begins on 20 October. The number of participants is limited to 16 people,” Michael Defland added.
