Le Pont, Tuen Mun – Greening Up

In this age of recognized and measurable climate change and a greater individual awareness of the predicament our planet faces for the future, it is good to find new residential developments that are trying to consider their footprint and offer up more green space for healthy living.

Le Pont residential development is 20 minutes away from the downtown area of Tuen Mun. Despite the less conveniently attractive location, all 347 flats of the first release were sold out on the first day of offering in October 2018. Le Bridge - Connecting

Le Pont, which means “bridge” in French features a characteristic design of a Sky Bridge, which was modeled upon hiking trails that Hong Kong is famous for.  The rooftops of the five towers are connected by a corridor (the bridge) which both highlights and enhances the buildings unique architectural contours and echoes the connection with natural flow of the surrounding mountainside and hills beyond. The Sky Bridge also incorporates spectacular elevated gardens for residents to enjoy with activities such as BBQ’ing and gardening.   From the Sky Bridge there are incredible panoramic 360 degree views including the mountainous ranges putting you right bang in the middle of nature.

  The interior spaces are filled with natural daylight through glass curtain walls to create a sense of indoor/outdoor living and being in harmony with nature. The overall design has used lines, textures and colours inspired by nature in it’s organic form.

  A kilometer long private, green jogging trail also runs through the estate, paved with materials designed especially for comfortable running.  To really in indulge the healthy living aspect, the developer has dedicated 30 per cent of the complex’s area to green landscaping, featuring amongst the variety of foliage, almost 60 species of plants that thrive all year round providing natural green beauty throughout the year and enhancing everyday life.

Join The Club

These outdoor features also complement the expansive, 32,000 sq ft indoor clubhouse, which continues the nature theme with natural wood and stone. Facilities inside this eco-luxury club are resort style swimming pool and sauna/spa, separate children’s pool and play area, reading and lounging rooms, fully equipped gym and fitness center, and a café.

  In School

On site within the development,  Le Pont is home to the York Montessori International Pre-School (Tuen Mun), which will allow residents to offer their children an international perspective from an early age, setting the stage for outstanding achievements throughout life.  Post pre-school is the nearby and highly regarded Harrow International School Hong Kong.

With the proximity of the Tai Lam Chung Reservoir, nature trails, Golden Beach and many more outdoor locations, West Sai Kung is definitely worth considering, if you wish to commune with more nature, and we hope that there will be more eco aware and Green developments to look forward to in the tight squeeze of Hong Kong.
