Engel & Völkers Bergamo presents its latest acquisition of the wonderful hills of Bergamo:
WONDERFUL FARMHOUSE ON THE HILLS
On the hills of the city of Bergamo we propose for sale a charming panoramic villacompletely restored with planted park. The farmhouse, which has been restored to its original style, has been preserved intact since the early 1200s, and is located around the central patio overlooking the porch that illuminates the living room and dining area. Here, the stone vaulted ceiling frame the imposing fireplaces and the bread oven bound by the ”Belli Arti”. The large living room with fireplace offers a beautiful view over the valley and allows access to the summer veranda . The upper floors host the sleeping area with large bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms. On the garden floor large and panoramic glass windows enclose the heated pool usable all year round. At the main residence overlooks the independent depèndance consisting of living room with kitchen and three bedrooms on the upper floors. Stone-faced ceilings, a large terraced park planted with olive trees and fruit trees adjoin this beautiful property with a unique and unreachable location with spectacular views of Bergamo valleys.
San Vigilio is located in the green hills of Bergamo and it is reachable on foot or by cable car from Città Alta (The Old Town). On top of this hill there is the Castle, a mere stronghold which was the base of the defense of the ancient city whose upper esplanade is now adapted to a public park. From the top of the castle (which today remain the thick walls and the four cylindrical towers equipped with gunboat) the lookouts were in continuous visual contact with the towers and fortresses located in strategic points to the great panoramic views. Today San Vigilio is a very elegant and quiet residential area where around every corner you can see really beautiful views. It is only 10 km from the International Airport of Orio al Serio and 5 km from the entrance of the A4 motorway connecting Bergamo to Milan, Brescia and Venice.
