Bologna under the movie stars: 51 nights in one of the most beautiful place in the world, Piazza Maggiore.

This year the prestigious Cineteca di Bologna (under "BolognaEstate" and "Il Cinema Ritrovato") will gift 51 projections movie to all fans.

From Peter Sellers to François Truffaut, from Giuseppe Tornatore to Pupi Avati: every evening from June 20th to August 15th, the big screen in Piazza Maggiore, one of the largest screens in Europe, will project the best of classics movie that made the history of cinema.

At the beginning of the 1990s the Cineteca di Bologna started a laboratory specialised in film restoration. "L'immagine Ritrovata" was born on 1992 and today, with the help of the City of Bologna, the Emilia-Romagna and Ministry of Culture, is one of the most advanced laboratories on film industry.
During the summer film festival it will be shared a fascinating retrospective about Orson Welles, who will be celebrated with a series of projections that made him famous all over the world.

The invitation is open to all an free of charge, from 22.00 pm, in the heart of Bologna.
