December has arrived, bringing in the air a new atmosphere and new songs. Our neighbours have already started to decorate their gardens and windows, reminding us that Christmas is coming. We are all thinking about spending winter holidays with our families and redecorating our houses. This Christmas is going to be special. It would be nice to check different Christmas decoration ideas, making our house more welcoming.
Let’s have a look together how we can do this!
Let’s start by picking the right Christmas tree, that, we all know, can miss in any house. It is important that you take the right measurements, avoiding buying a too big or too small tree.
Once you have selected the right tree, you take your favourite Christmas decorations out!
Anything can go on your tree: classic balls, customized balls, various figures, animals, bows, flowers. Glass, fabric, ceramic, plastic. Blue, gold, silver, red, but also purple or green. As you can see, you will be spoiled for choice! The most important thing is that the decorations are similar with the style and colors of your home.
We suggest you avoid putting all the decorations in one place. The ornaments and the hangings should be casually arranged on the tree, trying to spread them evenly. The biggest ones should be on the top and the smallest ones on the bottom, placing them also on the branches bottom.
Last but not least are the Christmas lights: you might want them colourful or warm yellow, they always light up any space, indoors and outdoors. Some lights even move and change following the rhythm of Christmas songs.
Another way to make your house looking more Christmassy is by decorating your windows. You can put on your window glass some stickers or white cotton as fake snow. Your windows can even look prettier with some lights on the indoor or outdoor frame.
Every house has different room styles and designs. People prefer to spend most of their time in the kitchen and living area. Here you can add red, blue or gold ribbons and cushions, so the house will look prettier. According to the house style, you can opt for ribbons to hang, for sofa cushions or for rugs in the kitchen and also in the bathrooms. Just try to keep one colour as a major ornament.
As you can see, you are spoiled for choice!
Just remember that it's best to opt for a style and color scheme to avoid overdoing it.
Decorating your home is a moment of joy for the whole family: enjoy!
