Real Estate franchise opportunity in the Pisan Hills with Engel & Völkers

Every year the Inland Revenue in Italy publishes data on the purchase and sale of residential properties that both covers recent years and quarters of the current year. According to analysis of transactions in 2017, the Pisan Hills area emerges as a market that is not only in recovery but also growing: prices have remained fairly stable, differing only slightly depending on the area, while a total of 2,086 sales were recorded. In the first quarter of 2018, on the other hand, there were approximately 600 transactions, so we are confident in predicting further positive sales growth in the immediate future.

With the real estate sector therefore in an important growth phase, investing in real estate franchising is undoubtedly an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs looking for a profitable and worthwhile business over the longer term. Our franchising business is one of the few ways of entering what is otherwise a closed and elitist marketplace: choose the international property world of Engel & Völkers and all the various revenue streams we offer.

The splendour of the Pisan Hills and the high quality of life.

Among the rolling plains, hills full of centuries-old woods, lush vineyards and thermal baths stand the bell towers and fortresses of myriad charming villages, all offering excellent quality of life. Allow us to introduce you briefly to the ones best known for their beauty and uniqueness.

The medieval village of Lari, surrounded by a splendid city wall with its three gates, today is especially highly rated for the quality of life it offers. In the village centre stands the Castello dei Vicari, a huge, imposing medieval-Renaissance castle. In the Middle Ages its dominant position made it a very important military garrison for the Republic of Pisa. After the Republic fell to Florence in 1406 the castle became the residence of the Florentine Vicars and then a prison and important court both for the judiciary in Tuscany and the Italian State as a whole. Following its restoration, it currently hosts an exhibit tracing the history of the Vicari.

Not far from Lari is Casciana Terme with its wonderful spa and wellness centre dating back over a thousand years. Thousands of tourists come here each year in search of tranquillity, relaxation, beauty treatments and medical cures.

Lajatico is a quiet little place, somewhat hidden away but known all over the world for being the birthplace of the famous tenor Andrea Bocelli.  Its hillside location allows it stunning views over the Valdera. You can see the Rocca di Pietracassia, one of the most important examples of early medieval architecture in Tuscany; and also the Teatro del Silenzio built in 2006, an atmospheric amphitheatre where a massive concert has been hosted every year since its inauguration featuring their famous home-grown opera star as well as many other international artists.

Another place of international renown is Volterra, a jewel of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance art. It stands on a hilltop looking right across the Val di Cecina to the sea.  The town is a true open-air museum where you can trace its history just by walking through its historic centre. It was exactly this that inspired author Stephenie Meyer when writing her famous Twilight saga. In short, Volterra is known throughout the world for its history, the exquisite surrounding scenery, the town’s quality of life and also for a unique form of alabaster craftsmanship that is done there.

The Pisan Hills real estate market

The Pisan hills stand out in terms of real estate for the multitude of fabulous properties in the area - villas, estates, prestigious private homes, and farmhouses – all set in the magical, typically Tuscan landscape. In fact, more and more people are choosing it as a place to live to pursue their personal interests in sport, tradition, art, culture and nature.

It is for this reason that Engel & Völkers is looking for a new partner interested in realising our customers’ dreams, helping them find prestigious properties in Valdera, Val di Cecina and in the Pisan area of Colline Metallifere. Opening a franchise agency could be a wonderful way of embracing and further contributing to the prosperity of this region.
