After discussions that lasted for years, the German government passed a law concerning the profession entry conditions for commercial and residential real estate agents. Real estate agents are now obligated to regularly attend further trainings. The new law intends real estate classes within the scope of 20 hours per three years, which is about the average of further trainings currently taken by German real estate agents. As the profession of a real estate agent is not registered in Germany, the new law is supposed to replace a qualification certificate. A regular further real estate agent training is supposed to ensure the availability of the needed expertise.
