On Wednesday July 8 the “Strategy Light Design”, a project by ABAM (Accademia Belle Arti Macerata) was inaugurated in the beautiful Macerata. The new city illumination was installed in Piazza della Libertà, the heart of the old town centre. Similar installations have been already implemented in other locations of the city, such as the Monumento ai Caduti and the Sferisterio Arena, venue of the MOF (Macerata Opera Festival).
The inauguration of the latest generation LED system with high efficiency in Piazza della Libertà further enhanced the historical and architectural value of its beautiful noble buildings, such as the Town Hall, the Police Headquarters, the famous Loggia dei Mercanti and the Civic Tower with its original Planetarium. The “Strategy Light Design” will be subject to further interventions in order to enrich a city, which already offers a museum and theatrical path and that is widening always more its tourist offering.
