The great Wisteria Festival, at the Ashikaga Flower Park in Japan is thronged during this part of the year when tourists and residents from all over the city, and the world flock to the park to see a 150-year-old Wisteria spread over a 600-tatami trellis area. And that's not all. A long white wisteria tunnel, the Kibana wisteria tunnel and more than 350 other wisteria trees are in full bloom at the moment, making it one of the most beautiful sigts to feast your eyes on. The riot of colors seem to fade and merge one in to the other making it such a mesmerizing view. The festival which is on from 15th April to 22nd May 2017 is where you can rest assure that you're blues are going to be a far-away place!
In the same period the magical scent of these extraordinary flowers, is invading also our Florence. Throughout the city you can see some beautiful purple brush strokes, such as the beautiful wisteria Villa Bardini, and the one that overlooks Lungarno Diaz next to Ponte alle Grazie.
