Palazzo Strozzi, the exhibition dedicated to the Art of the second sixteenth century
From the 22nd of September 2017 to the 21st of January 2018 Palazzo Strozzi hosts the third part of the trilogy dedicated to the art of the sixteenth century (Bronzino in 2010, Pontormo and Rosso Fiorentino in 2014).
This path in the art of the second half of the sixteenth century is edited by Carlo Falciani and Antonio Natali and will be set up in the main floor.
Sculptures, paintings and drawings by Giorgio Vasari, Giambologna, Bartolomeo Ammanati, Pontormo, Bronzino, Andrea del Sarto, Santi di Tito will be exhibited. The exposure also arises as an opportunity to restore some important works and to establish collaboration with institutions and places in the territory of Florence and Tuscany so you can celebrate in all its grandeur cultural epoch of exceptional artistic and intellectual fervor to remember the Counter-Reformation of the Council of Trent and the figure of Francis I ° de 'Medici, one of the largest patrons of European courts.
