With the exhibition "From the entire world to the heart of the world. Balsamo talks with Music.", that in The Regole d'Ampezzo will pay tribute to the painter Renato Balsamo who, after the donation of Rosa Braun of her husband's precious collection, gave life to the "Museo d'Arte Moderna Mario Rimoldi", opened in 1974 and directed by him until 2010, both as a teacher and director for long years of the Art Institute, and as tireless organizer of important cultural events, from visual art, to literature, to music, with the presence of celebrities such as Luzi, Zanzotto, Gassman, Mastroianni, Gandini, Asciolla, Gaslini, Cafaro.
Professor Vittorio Sgarbi, who will open the exhibition on Friday, December 8th, 2017, writes about Balsamo: "...the master of Sorrento who, for love, moved to Cortina... a very sensitive painter...he was able to perceive, with intense paintings and perfect portraits, the soul of the subjects he looked for and loved. I owe him, in addition to mine, the living and talking portrait of my mother, young and troubled, in a worried thought which no one else except him was able to catch. And it was her soul."
