Dormelletto: Location and surroundings of this property

Dormelletto is a small municipality closed to Lago Maggiore, located between Arona and Castelletto Ticino. It is divided in two main areas: one directly overlooking the Lake and hosting several beaches, and the hilly one consisting of the town center and the Parco dei Lagoni di Mercurago. The municipality is famous for the horseracing world and the breeding of racehorses, among which an example is the well-known Ribot. Not surprisingly, the town council’s emblem represents a galloping horse with the St. Andrew’s cross, that was painted on one of the outside wall of Villa Tesio, historic seat of the last breeding farm of english thoroughbred “Dormello-Olgiata” race. From the town it is possible to access to the Parco Naturale dei Lagoni, a natural reserve that in 2011 was recognized as UNESCO World Heritage, perfect for walking in the shade of its imposing vegetation or taking a ride on a mountain bike. The city presents several events during the year, from the float parade, on the occasion of the Dormellettese Carnival, to the “Festa al Campo”, that takes place every year during the summer and welcomes you with good homegrown food and themed musical evenings. This small town, located in a perfect position, since it is near the highway and the Malpensa airport, is perfect for those who love peace a few steps from the Lake.
Dal paese è possibile accedere al Parco dei Lagoni, una riserva naturale che nel 2011 è stata riconosciuta patrimonio dell’UNESCO, perfetta per passeggiare all’ombra della sua imponente vegetazione o fare un giro con la mountain bike.
La città propone anche numerosi eventi durante l’anno, a partire dalla sfilata dei carri, in occasione del Carnevale dormellettese, fino alla Festa al campo, che si tiene ogni anno in periodo estivo e vi accoglie con buon cibo nostrano e serate musicali a tema.
Situata in una posizione ottima per la sua vicinanza all’autostrada e all’aeroporto di Malpensa, questa cittadina è perfetta per chi ama la tranquillità a due passi dal Lago.
